Recessional

The recessional is when the bride and groom leave together down the aisle. The music chosen for
this moment is festive and upbeat, as the guests applaud the newly-married couple.

Note that some selections can be played with extra instruments such as trumpet, or can be done by the organ alone.
This is simply a matter of taste and of budget. Don't be confused by the titles—even pieces called
"Trumpet Tunes" can be played without a trumpet player.

After the bride and groom are down the aisle, we keep playing for a few minutes as you greet your guests.

Click on the titles below to listen to an MP3 file and find out more information about each piece. Note that some of these selections were suggested for the Processional as well.

"Wedding March" (Mendelssohn)
"Trumpet Tune" (Stanley)
